One Team From Concept to Keys

The Wood family has been building in Colorado for three generations. It began with Justin, Jerod, and David's grandfather and great-uncle, working the way builders worked then, with their own hands and their own name on the line.
‍
Justin founded Wood Brothers Homes in 2009, and his brothers joined him. Between the three of them there are more than seventy years of experience, and nearly all of it was learned the same way their grandfather learned it. On job sites, from family.

We are a generational builder, and that is not decoration on this page. It is the reason a Wood shows up on your project instead of a division manager, and the reason we build five to ten homes a year rather

What Custom Home Building Includes

Every home is different. The scope is what stays the same.

Site and Lot Evalutation

Before you commit to a property, we walk it. Soils, slope, utility access, setbacks, HOA restrictions, and view corridors all shape what can be built and what it will cost. If a lot has a problem, you should know before closing, not after.

In-House Architectural Design

Our design team develops your floor plan, elevations, and exterior direction under the same roof as our estimators. You see the cost implication of a decision while it is still easy to change.

Interior Design and Selections

Work with our designer or bring your own. Either way, selections are scheduled against the build calendar so the project never stalls waiting on a decision.

Transparent Estimating and Budgeting

You get a line-item budget, not a lump sum. Allowances are set at real numbers based on what we actually buy, so the price you approve resembles the price you pay.

Permitting and Jurisdictional Approvals

Louisville, Lafayette, Superior, Boulder, Erie, and unincorporated Boulder County each run their own review process and timeline. We handle submittals, corrections, and inspections so you never have to learn six permitting systems.

Construction Management and Warranty

One superintendent, one schedule, one point of contact through the full build. We are a Louisville company with a storefront on Main Street, so after you move in we are a few minutes away.

How a Wood Brothers Home Comes Together

01. Conversation and Feasibility

We start with what you want to build, where, and what you are prepared to spend. If you already own land, we walk it. If you are still looking, we help you evaluate lots before you buy. You leave this stage knowing whether the project pencils.

03. Contract and Permitting

With plans finalized and the budget locked, we submit for permits and hold your pricing. You get a construction scheudle with real dates before we mobilize.

02. Design and Selections

We manage estimating, budgeting, and permitting ourselves, so you have a clear, honest picture of cost and timeline before the first shovel hits the ground.

04. Build and Walk-through

Foundation to final finish, managed by one superintendent with regular site updates. We walk the home with you before closing, punch the list, and stay available long after the keys change hands.

Why Families Build With Us

A Generational Builder

Justin, Jerrod, and David Wood learned the trade from their grandfather and great-uncle. Justin founded the company in 2009. The name on the sign is the family that shows up on site.

Real Boulder County Experience

We built 43 homes after the Marshall Fire, roughly ten percent of the total rebuild. That work taught us local soils, local jurisdictions, and how to build homes that hold up to what this country sends at them.

Fire-Resistant Construction as Standard

Class A roof assemblies, ember-resistant venting, noncombustible siding details, and site planning that respects defensible space. We build this way by default, not as a line-item upgrade.

Deliberately Small Volume

Five to ten homes a year means one of the brothers is on your project, not managing a division that is managing your project.
